- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- 1 package of frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- Mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- If using, add the frozen mixed vegetables to the beef mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- If desired, sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve over mashed potatoes.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding garlic or your favorite herbs. Use lean ground beef and add more vegetables for a healthier option.
