Description

A bright and sweet Asian-style glazed chicken dish that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3โ€“4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (for sautรฉing)

Instructions

  1. Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces so it cooks evenly.
  2. Put the chicken, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl and mix. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk orange juice, brown sugar, grated ginger, and a splash of soy sauce to make the sauce.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5โ€“7 minutes.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and lower the heat. Let the sauce simmer and thicken while stirring.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness with more soy or sugar if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve the chicken over warm rice or noodles with a side of steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
