Description
A bright and sweet Asian-style glazed chicken dish that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3โ4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cooking oil (for sautรฉing)
Instructions
- Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces so it cooks evenly.
- Put the chicken, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl and mix. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk orange juice, brown sugar, grated ginger, and a splash of soy sauce to make the sauce.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5โ7 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and lower the heat. Let the sauce simmer and thicken while stirring.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more soy or sugar if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Serve the chicken over warm rice or noodles with a side of steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
