Description

A light and sweet layered dessert featuring mixed berries, custard, and whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup vanilla custard
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 4 slices sponge cake or ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons sherry or berry juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. If desired, macerate the mixed berries with sugar and sherry or berry juice for 10 minutes.
  2. Layer sponge cake slices in a large glass bowl or individual glasses.
  3. Spread a layer of custard over the cake.
  4. Add a layer of mixed berries.
  5. Top with whipped cream.
  6. Repeat layers if needed and finish with whipped cream and a few berries on top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For best taste, use ripe berries. Chill the bowl and custard before assembling. Serve cold in clear bowls to showcase the layers.
