Description

A simple and moist banana bread recipe that uses ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (medium-sized)
  • 200 g flour
  • 75 g melted butter
  • 100 g sugar (or 75 g for less sweetness)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg (medium-sized)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • A little cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (or 180 degrees Celsius for regular heat).
  2. Peel the bananas and mash them on a plate with a fork.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the mashed bananas, egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, and melted butter. Mix well.
  4. Add the flour along with the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir everything together with a whisk. Optionally, add some cinnamon to taste.
  5. Grease the baking pan with butter. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown. Test with a toothpick after 45 minutes to check if it’s done.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan before removing it.

Notes

For extra flavor, enjoy with butter, cream cheese, or honey. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
