Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat until golden and nutty. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooled brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the mixture, stirring until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture gradually, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel bits and chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle the crushed cookies on top and press lightly to adhere.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan before cutting into squares to serve.
