- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4ร8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Best served warm; can be enjoyed plain or with butter. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
