Description

Deliciously rich chocolate brownies topped with melted chocolate and fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped strawberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. While the brownies are cooling, melt the chocolate chips with the vegetable oil in a microwave or double boiler.
  9. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled brownies and top with more strawberries if desired.
  10. Let it set before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Let brownies cool fully before adding chocolate. Use ripe but firm strawberries to avoid extra water.
