Description

Delicious chocolate cupcakes topped with a rich ganache and fresh strawberries for a fun and vibrant dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until simmering, then pour over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth to create ganache.
  6. Dip each strawberry into the ganache, allowing excess to drip off.
  7. Once the cupcakes are cool, frost with remaining ganache and top with chocolate-covered strawberries.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!

Use firm, ripe strawberries for best results. Ensure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting.
