Description
Delicious chocolate cupcakes topped with fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate, perfect for parties or gifts.

- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- Chocolate for dipping
- Strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
- Stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
- Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, then place them on a parchment-lined tray to set.
- Once cupcakes are cool, dip the tops in the remaining chocolate or drizzle melted chocolate over each cupcake.
- Top with the chocolate-dipped strawberries and serve.
Notes
Use ripe but firm strawberries for a good look. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before adding warm chocolate.
