- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Do not over bake. Use real butter for the best taste. Tap the pan on the counter to release air bubbles.
