- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. You should have two rectangles.
- Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet. Cut each rectangle into 4 triangles.
- Place about a tablespoon of the pecan filling at the wide end of each triangle.
- Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle towards the point to form a crescent shape. Pinch the ends to seal them.
- Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans lightly before mixing. You can substitute other nuts or add chocolate chips for variation.
