- 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1 cup Chopped Pecans
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 large Egg (or egg replacer for vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons Reserved Sugar Mixture (for brushing)
- 1/4 cup Additional Chopped Pecans (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped pecans and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent rolls on a clean surface.
- In another bowl, mix light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and the egg until well blended.
- Take a spoonful of the pecan and sugar mixture and place it at the wide end of each crescent roll.
- Drizzle a small amount of the corn syrup mixture over the pecan mixture.
- Roll the crescent rolls up, starting from the wide end, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the reserved sugar mixture.
- Sprinkle some additional chopped pecans on top of each roll.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm, either on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Make sure to chop the pecans into small pieces for an even distribution of flavor. Be careful not to overfill the crescent rolls to avoid a messy baking experience. For a richer flavor, you can toast the pecans lightly before mixing them in.
