Description

Delicious and simple deviled eggs, perfect for snacks or appetizers at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Optional: chopped chives or dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard-boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and bringing to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  3. Once cooled, peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
  4. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks and mix until smooth.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Garnish with paprika and optional herbs. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling. You can add hot sauce for some heat or experiment with spices like garlic powder.
