Description

Deviled eggs are a tasty and easy snack, perfect for parties or quick bites at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and bringing to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs and place them in ice water to cool.
  3. Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
  4. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  5. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chives or parsley if desired.
  8. Serve chilled.

Notes

Make sure to use fresh eggs for the best taste. Cool the eggs quickly after boiling to make peeling easier. You can try adding hot sauce for some heat or use a zip-lock bag to pipe the yolk mixture.
