Description

Delicious and easy-to-make pecan pie bars, perfect for parties or snacks, offering a sweet and nutty flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine (melted)
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยบF. Line a 9ร—13-inch pan with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang on all sides.
  2. Unroll the dough and separate it into 2 long rectangles. Place the dough in the pan, pressing it over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides to make a crust. Firmly press the dough perforations to seal them.
  3. Bake the crust for 8 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix all filling ingredients except the 3/4 cup of pecans. Stir well.
  5. Add the pecans to the mixture. Spread this filling evenly over the hot, partially baked crust.
  6. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the filling is set and golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for about 1 hour, then cut into bars.

Notes

Ensure to press the dough well to avoid gaps. Fresh pecans enhance the flavor, and a pinch of salt in the filling can create a balanced taste.
