Description
Delicious and easy-to-make pecan pie bars, perfect for parties or snacks, offering a sweet and nutty flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine (melted)
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg (beaten)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยบF. Line a 9ร13-inch pan with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang on all sides.
- Unroll the dough and separate it into 2 long rectangles. Place the dough in the pan, pressing it over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides to make a crust. Firmly press the dough perforations to seal them.
- Bake the crust for 8 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix all filling ingredients except the 3/4 cup of pecans. Stir well.
- Add the pecans to the mixture. Spread this filling evenly over the hot, partially baked crust.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the filling is set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for about 1 hour, then cut into bars.
Notes
Ensure to press the dough well to avoid gaps. Fresh pecans enhance the flavor, and a pinch of salt in the filling can create a balanced taste.
