Description

A rich and dense flourless chocolate cake that is moist and glossy, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Melt the chopped chocolate and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Sift the cocoa powder and salt into the mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  8. Let cool before removing from the pan and serving.

Notes

Serve at room temperature or slightly warm. Dust with cocoa or powdered sugar and add a dollop of cream or a scoop of ice cream.
