Description

Deliciously crispy on the outside and warm, cheesy on the inside, these Fried Mac and Cheese Bites are perfect for snacks or party treats.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and shredded cheese.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls or bites.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each bite in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the bites in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Chill the formed bites for at least 30 minutes before breading for better shape retention.
