Description

A classic and comforting dish featuring tender beef, creamy sauce, and earthy mushrooms, perfect for family dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef tenderloin, sliced into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in beef broth and Dijon mustard; bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, reduce heat, and stir in sour cream until heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine or adjusting spices to taste. Can be made vegetarian by substituting with mushrooms and vegetable broth.
