- 1/4 cup almond milk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and vegan butter until light and fluffy.
- Add in the almond milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool before decorating with vegan icing and sprinkles, if desired.
Notes
For a fresh taste, add lemon zest or cocoa powder for chocolate hearts. Chill dough if too soft, and use thin cutters for clean shapes.
