Description

A delightful chocolate cake infused with bright peppermint flavor, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of peppermint extract
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of crushed peppermint candies
  • Frosting (cream cheese or chocolate)
  • Additional crushed peppermint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, peppermint extract, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in crushed peppermint candies.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then remove from pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, frost the cakes with your choice of cream cheese or chocolate frosting.
