- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and sour cream.
- Stir in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for more flavor, and don’t overmix the batter.
