A delightful banana bread that’s moist and easy to make with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and sour cream.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for more flavor, and don’t overmix the batter.
