Description
These delicious fried dough balls are filled with tender apples and gooey caramel, making for a warm, quick treat or a fun party snack.
Ingredients

- 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 8 pieces caramel candy
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Cinnamon sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a pan, melt 1 tbsp butter and add the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for 4โ6 minutes until soft. Let cool.
- Open the biscuit dough and press each round flat.
- Place a spoon of apple mixture in the center of each round and top with one caramel piece. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal.
- Arrange the bombs on a baking sheet and brush with 2 tbsp melted butter. Optionally, roll each in cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 12โ15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Keep napkins handy as the caramel can drip.
