Description

An easy and crowd-pleasing recipe for rich and delicious Oreo truffles, perfect for holidays and parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies (about 1 package)
  • 8 ounces (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces (340 g) chocolate chips or melting chocolate
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put Oreos in a food bag and crush them fine, or pulse in a food processor.
  2. Put the crumbs in a bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Scoop small spoonfuls and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place on a tray lined with paper.
  4. Chill the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each ball in the melted chocolate using a fork, tapping off the excess. Place back on the paper.
  7. Add sprinkles or crushed Oreo on top before the chocolate sets, if desired.
  8. Chill until the chocolate is firm and serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing. If chocolate is too thick, add a little oil to thin it out.
