Description
An easy and crowd-pleasing recipe for rich and delicious Oreo truffles, perfect for holidays and parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 Oreo cookies (about 1 package)
- 8 ounces (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces (340 g) chocolate chips or melting chocolate
- Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for top (optional)
Instructions
- Put Oreos in a food bag and crush them fine, or pulse in a food processor.
- Put the crumbs in a bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully combined.
- Scoop small spoonfuls and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place on a tray lined with paper.
- Chill the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each ball in the melted chocolate using a fork, tapping off the excess. Place back on the paper.
- Add sprinkles or crushed Oreo on top before the chocolate sets, if desired.
- Chill until the chocolate is firm and serve cold or at room temperature.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing. If chocolate is too thick, add a little oil to thin it out.
