Description
This Peach Puff Pastry Tart is a light summer dessert with golden, flaky layers and caramelized peaches. Perfect for gatherings, brunch, or an easy weeknight treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 3–4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp apricot jam (optional, for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly and place on prepared sheet. Score a border 1 inch from the edge without cutting through.
- Arrange peach slices neatly within the border. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle sugars evenly.
- Bake 20–25 minutes, until pastry is golden and peaches caramelized.
- If desired, brush with warm apricot jam for a glossy finish.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm peaches for the best caramelization.
- Substitute peaches with nectarines, plums, or apples as seasonal alternatives.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or cardamom.
