Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/3 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, packed brown sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforations.
- Place a generous spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the point, securing the sides to keep the filling inside.
- Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Whisk together the egg and water, then brush the mixture over each rolled crescent.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the crescents are golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the pastries to cool briefly before serving. Enjoy while warm for the best gooey texture.
