Description

Combining the rich flavor of pecan pie with soft, flaky dough, these Pecan Pie Crescent Rolls are an easy dessert perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth. Set aside 2 tablespoons of the mixture for glazing.
  3. Add chopped pecans to the remaining sugar mixture and stir until the nuts are evenly coated.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of pecan filling at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up dough starting from the wide end towards the point.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes or until rolls begin to set.
  7. Remove rolls from oven and brush with the reserved 2 tablespoons of sugar mixture. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Optionally, sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, chocolate or caramel sauce, or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
