Description

A delightful twist on the classic pecan pie, these crescent rolls are rich, nutty, and fun to eat, making them perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Set aside 2 tablespoons for glazing.
  3. Stir chopped pecans into the remaining sugar mixture until fully coated.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of filling onto the widest end of each triangle and roll towards the tip.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes until the dough starts to set.
  7. Remove from the oven and brush with the reserved sugar mixture.
  8. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle with extra chopped pecans if desired before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
