Description

A fun twist on the classic pecan pie, these crescent rolls are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or corn syrup
  • 8 whole pecans for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir until the mixture is bubbling.
  4. Add the chopped pecans and stir to coat them well. Remove the saucepan from heat.
  5. Spoon a small amount of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll up each crescent from the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go.
  7. Top each roll with a bit more filling and press a whole pecan on top for a nice look.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and glossy.
  9. Let the rolls cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
