- 1 package (8 oz or 227 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup (120 g) chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) light corn syrup or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Stir gently until sticky and well mixed.
- Unroll crescent roll dough on a floured surface and separate into triangles.
- Spoon pecan mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end towards the point to form a crescent shape.
- Tuck ends slightly to seal and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon or sugar.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Avoid overfilling to prevent spillage during baking. Try using walnuts or adding chocolate chips for variations.
