This trifle blends soft cake, sweet pudding, and bright fruit, making it a refreshing and visually appealing dessert perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cake
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for whipping)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for whipped cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pound cake according to your favorite recipe or use a store-bought pound cake. Let it cool completely before slicing.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mixed berries.
  3. In another bowl, prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  5. In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer the pound cake slices, mixed berries, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a few berries on top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use ripe berries for the best taste. Chill the trifle for at least 2 hours so the flavors set.
