Description

Delicious soft red velvet cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ยฝ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Cream cheese frosting (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla extract, and vinegar until combined.
  4. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
