Description

A classic dish that warms the heart with tender beef, flavorful vegetables, and rich broth, perfect for cold days.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of stew meat
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the stew meat, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
  2. Pour in the beef broth and add the salt, pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the meat and vegetables are tender.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

For thicker stew, mix a little cornstarch with water and stir in during the last hour of cooking. Feel free to adjust seasonings to taste.
