Description

A fun and delicious Halloween cake that serves as a perfect centerpiece for any Halloween party with vibrant colors and festive decorations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Food coloring (black, orange)
  • Decorative Halloween toppers (ghosts, pumpkins, spiders)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Prepare two 8-inch round cake pans by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
  5. Divide the batter equally into two bowls. Add black food coloring to one bowl and orange food coloring to the other.
  6. Pour the batters alternately into the prepared pans, creating a swirl effect.
  7. Bake the cakes for about 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick to make sure they are done.
  8. Let the cakes cool completely before frosting and decorating with Halloween toppers.

Notes

For an even more vibrant color, add a few more drops of food coloring. Get creative with decorations using a variety of Halloween-themed toppers.
