Description

Delicious cookies that combine creamy cream cheese and sweet strawberry jam for a rich, cake-like treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup homemade strawberry jam
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. Beat in the egg.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making a small indent in the center of each.
  7. Fill each indent with a small amount of strawberry jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Optional: dust with powdered sugar before serving.
