Description

Delicious and soft strawberry cookies that are easy to make with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 and 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp strawberry extract
  • 2 tsp pink food coloring
  • 2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and soft.
  3. Beat in the egg, vanilla, and strawberry extracts.
  4. Add the pink food coloring and mix until the color is even.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Slowly add the dry mix to the wet mix and stir until you see no dry streaks.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the cookie edges turn light gold.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes, then move them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for better texture and do not overmix after adding flour.
