Description

A light and fruity cake made with box cake mix and topped with cream cheese and whipped cream.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • Ingredients required by cake mix (usually water, oil, and eggs)
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, adding the chopped strawberries to the batter.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake as per the cake mix timing.
  4. While the cake is baking, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Once the cake has cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture on top.
  6. Top with whipped cream and additional strawberries if desired.

Notes
