Description
Delicious large pasta shells filled with meat, cheese, and sauce, baked to perfection.
Ingredients

- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sautรฉ chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked beef mixture, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish.
- Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Let the dish sit for five minutes after baking. For serving, dish out one or two shells per person accompanied with a small salad or bread.
