An easy, no-bake dessert featuring layers of mixed berries, cream, and cake, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 pound mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 store-bought cake or 12 ladyfingers, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone or cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup jam or berry syrup (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash berries and slice large strawberries.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Fold mascarpone into the whipped cream until smooth.
- Add jam to berries if desired.
- Place a layer of cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Spoon a layer of cream over the cake.
- Add a layer of berries on top of the cream.
- Repeat layers until the dish is full, ending with cream on top.
- Garnish with a few berries and mint leaves.
- Chill for 2 to 4 hours to set.
Notes
Pick ripe berries and dry them well. Use chilled bowls to whip cream faster. Do not freeze the trifle; consume within 2 days.
