Description

Indulge in rich, dark chocolate brownies made with three types of chocolate for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (110g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs (200g), room temperature
  • 1 cup (210g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120g) light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup (93g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (42g) cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (180g) chocolate chips of choice + other desired mix-ins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a 9ร—9 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together room temperature eggs, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl and whisk until combined.
  5. Incorporate the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, whisking until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and other mix-ins until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is shiny and a toothpick comes out with some batter.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra richness, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week.
