- 1/2 cup (110g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 large eggs (200g), room temperature
- 1 cup (210g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120g) light brown sugar
- 2/3 cup (93g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (42g) cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (180g) chocolate chips of choice + other desired mix-ins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a 9ร9 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together room temperature eggs, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl and whisk until combined.
- Incorporate the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, whisking until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and other mix-ins until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is shiny and a toothpick comes out with some batter.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra richness, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week.
