Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat each piece thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the chicken in a single layer without crowding.
  6. Spray the top of the chicken lightly with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  7. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before marinating for better coating adherence. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.
