Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop generous amounts of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. To make the glaze, mix powdered sugar, water, and corn syrup until smooth.
  11. Drizzle or spread half of the cookies with the glaze and let set.
