Description

Delicious soft rolls filled with fresh blueberries and zesty lemon, topped with a creamy lemon glaze.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Combine melted butter, warm milk, and egg in another bowl; mix well.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  5. Let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread blueberries and lemon zest over it.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  10. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth for the glaze.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Best served warm; great with whipped cream and coffee or tea.
