Delicious soft rolls filled with fresh blueberries and zesty lemon, topped with a creamy lemon glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix together the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine melted butter, warm milk, and egg in another bowl; mix well.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread blueberries and lemon zest over it.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut it into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
Notes
Best served warm; great with whipped cream and coffee or tea.
