- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup white sugar (granulated sugar)
- 1 1/3 cups whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish, then set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and sugar until well combined.
- Pour the milk into the bowl and mix it in.
- Whisk until smooth!
- Pour the mixture into your prepared baking pan and place it in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cake springs back when touched and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
- Frost with your favorite frosting or serve plain!
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container. They will stay fresh at room temperature for 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for a bit longer. This cake freezes well for up to two months.
