- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Make three wells in the dry ingredients. In one well, add vinegar, in the second well add vanilla, and in the third well, add vegetable oil. Pour water over all ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool before frosting or serving.
