Description

A stunning dessert combining chocolate cake, fresh strawberries, and silky chocolate ganache, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients specified on the box)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (made with dark chocolate and heavy cream)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and bake in a round cake pan. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, slice the cake into three even layers.
  3. Place the first layer on a serving platter. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
  4. Repeat with the second layer of cake, more whipped cream, and additional strawberries. Top with the third layer of cake.
  5. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  6. Decorate the top with additional fresh strawberries.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Don’t skip the chilling step for easier slicing.
