Description

A delightful no-bake dessert combining layers of strawberries, ladyfingers, and creamy mascarpone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi)
  • 1 cup milk (for dipping)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for milk)

Instructions

  1. Mix strawberries in a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and let sit for about 15 minutes to macerate.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. Prepare the milk mixture in a shallow dish by combining the milk and vanilla extract for dipping the ladyfingers.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the milk mixture (do not soak) and layer them in the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish.
  6. Layer half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the macerated strawberries. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and strawberries.
  7. Refrigerate the dish, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  8. Enjoy chilled, garnished with extra strawberries or powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh strawberries. Allow the tiramisu to set overnight for optimal texture.
