Description
A delightful no-bake dessert combining layers of strawberries, ladyfingers, and creamy mascarpone.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- 1 cup milk (for dipping)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for milk)
Instructions
- Mix strawberries in a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and let sit for about 15 minutes to macerate.
- Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
- Combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- Prepare the milk mixture in a shallow dish by combining the milk and vanilla extract for dipping the ladyfingers.
- Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the milk mixture (do not soak) and layer them in the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish.
- Layer half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the macerated strawberries. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and strawberries.
- Refrigerate the dish, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or overnight for best results.
- Enjoy chilled, garnished with extra strawberries or powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh strawberries. Allow the tiramisu to set overnight for optimal texture.
